I don't think Philadelphia will draft Geno Smith. It's already a battle between Foles and Vick. But overall, this is really good. Would you mock draft be different if Te'o hadn't gone through that scandal? |

Foles doesn't fit the system and they will need to replace Vick after this season. Geno is a guy that needs some development, but if your season goes as planned, you won't be able to draft another top prospect QB in the future. And regarding the Teo situation. That scandal isn't even hurting his stock anymore. I go by what I see on tape. Teo is a 2 down guy (as it stands now) and got exposed by Alabama pretty bad. He still does have the talent to go first round and Minny needs a linebacker. Teo is the best option after Ogeltree and Brown imo. |

I might have missed it, but you don't have Teo going in the first round? There are various teams that need to fill holes at middle linebacker and he is one of the best LB's in the class still. Also, I don't see Tavon Austin going so high. He's too short and not strong enough to play wide receiver in the NFL. Cornerbacks are going to bully him at the line. |

Te'o is going in the first round in his mock draft at pick #25. |

Watch his tape. Teams are huge on him. Might be the most explosive player in the league after he's drafted |

I've seen the tape, but like I said, NFL is a whole different ball game from NCAAF. It's a lot more physical and Austin is going so struggle to fight for positioning at the line due to his small stature. I think late first round, early second round seems more appropriate for Tavon Austin rather than top 10. I believe that Keenan Allen was projected by Chad Ford to be the first Wide Receiver off the board. |

Keenan Allen is falling down boards hard. Regarding Austin, I'm well aware of the size issues but he won't be playing outside. He'll be in the slot, in the backfield, returning etc. The guy only needs 5 touches a game to massively impact it. If you'd like, I would be more than willing to wager he goes top 15 :P |

Tavon Austin has the skill set of a #1 receiver, but his size will hold him back to what could possibly be a career long gimmick role (to clarify, Austin was not a gimmick player at WVU rather a full time receiver, but his size is not going to allow him to be a #1 receiver in the NFL [can't go over the middle, might not be durable verses nfl defenses, will he be able to beat press coverage?]). However, I have him as top ten value in this draft; he may have a gimmick role, but he will still make many plays. With that said, not many teams in the top ten are in need of his services: 1-3: A receiver who is NOT an elite talent won't go top three. 4: Philadelphia already has a plethora of small receivers starting for them (Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin). 5: Detroit will draft defensively, and they probably wouldn't invest a top five pick in a position where they already have Calvin Johnson. 6: Cleveland's Josh Gordon emerged as a promising rookie last year at the WR position, and they're 100% locked in on Dee Milliner. 7: Arizona has Larry Fitzgerald and used a first rounder on Michael Floyd last year. They'll go line or defense (unless Geno drops). 8: Buffalo is the earliest I could see Austin going, but if Geno continues to drop to Buffalo, then Austin will have to wait some more. 9: Jets are a possibility, but they drafted Hill with a second last year and they are looking at defense with this pick. 10: Tennessee used a first on Kendall Wright last year There are scenarios where he drops out of the top ten, but his absolute floor is at the Rams' #16 . I wouldn't take that wager, if I were you. But maybe you'll be right, we'll see. |

The only problem I have with this mock is Ogletree to the Giants. I've seen others mock this pick as well, but the Giants are looking for a true middle linebacker. Ogletree, coming from Georgia's 3-4, likely fits as a weakside backer in a 4-3 (the Giants base defense). Not only have I seen him mocked to the Giants, but to the Vikings as well (who are also a 4-3 team looking for a true middle linebacker). Simply put, I don't believe he's strong enough for that position. EDIT: As a new member, I am not used to the forum's rules yet. I remember double posts are not allowed though. It won't happen again. If I were the Rams, I'd be taking Keenin Lewis or Coradelle Patterson over Tavon Austin, but that's just me. Bradford needs a number one receiver and I just don't think that Tavon's Austin's speed and explosiveness can overcome his size issues. |

Very fair points. But I really feel that Ogeltree can put on the size and strength. I do think he would be a better Will but NYG are really looking at a backer in round one. They could have Dan Connor start in the Middle and just have Ogeltree play the Will Edited by Noir, Apr 21 2013, 08:07 PM.

I think it's very likely Geno Smith will be the only QB drafted in the 1st round. It's not like there are no good QB's heading into the draft but Geno is the only one you can say "Hey, he's a great player." I think Matt Barkley will be the 33rd draft pick though. I don't think the Jaguars are very happy with the QB's on their rosters. |

Someone will probably trade into the back end of the first for Geno if he falls, its gonna be a long fall past 9), Barkley, or Nassib. |

Yah this QB class is not very good haha. I don't really see any of these QB's being very good personally. |
